Hotel Abdu-Bahodir 2

We came because of the photos and positive comments, but were very disappointed. The rooms were old, especially the bathrooms, and they weren’t properly cleaned. Even with a window next to the bed, the air inside was horrible, and the air conditioning didn’t work. The beds were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was nice, but nobody cleaned the tables. The staff were polite, though we didn’t get a warm welcome or any information about the place. We also couldn’t find a reception or anyone to ask when we needed something. I’d recommend going elsewhere, even if it costs a couple of dollars more.

Registan Square is a 10-minute walk away. The outside of the hotel looks nice, and the dining area is beautiful. I stayed three days, and breakfast was different each day. The room was clean but old, especially the bathroom, and the lighting was weak. Wi-Fi worked well enough for video calls. Worth the money!

It’s cheap and well placed for Samarkand’s attractions. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was nice. The bedrooms and bathrooms could’ve been cleaner, and the bedding didn’t feel clean or comfortable.

The location worked well for visiting Registan and Bazar-e Siab, but the stay itself was frustrating. I had booked a completely different hostel through booking.com and was redirected here when I arrived. They first put me in a ground-floor room at the back with an extremely poor WiFi connection. After I complained, they moved me upstairs to the first floor, where the WiFi was better. They need to improve their service.
