Azaliya Hostel

I met lots of great travelers and cyclists here, with plenty of room to relax and hang out. Azaliya Hostel feels like home. The rooms were super clean and cleaned daily, and the host was so kind, friendly, and always willing to help. There's a lovely view from the balcony, and the location is quiet and nice. The kitchen is handy for cooking, with tea and coffee always available. I totally recommend it for solo travelers, couples, or families.

Its central spot made it easy to visit the main tourist attractions. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and the staff and management were friendly and always willing to help. Highly recommended for a convenient, comfortable stay.

Most of the city's main sights are an easy walk from this hostel, which is its biggest advantage. The streets nearby feel a little run-down, but the location is still very convenient. The staff were friendly and even offered me watermelon. People often opened with “Where are you from? Japan? China?” As someone who doesn't enjoy that question, I found it uncomfortable, though it seems to be a regional cultural norm. The AC only worked partly and switched off at certain times. The bed-side outlets worked, and the security locker was a decent size, though a backpack over 40L might not fit easily. They provided a lock, a gate access card, and indoor slippers. Upstairs there's space to hang clothes or sit and chat, but the outlets there don't work. Despite those small inconveniences, I'd still recommend the hostel for its value and location.

We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the view from the terrace. The roof terrace and well-equipped kitchen are cozy spots to sit and chat, and the beds have curtains for privacy and a comfortable night's sleep. The host was friendly and helpful, and the hostel was super clean. The main attractions are within walking distance, too. After six weeks traveling in Central Asia, this is the best hostel we've stayed in so far.
