Hotel Next Hotel Samarkand

Things started out okay, but we went three days without the room being cleaned. The owner kept calling me for no real reason, 35 times in 27 minutes, then called again to ask about cleaning after he'd just discussed it with my partner. I'd already asked him to stop calling me. Breakfast put us off too: there was a fly in the multi-use jam, the bread was stale, and some other food seemed reheated, so we ate there no more than twice. We checked out early and found another hotel for the rest of our stay. We didn't really enjoy this place.

This is a small, pleasant hotel in a quiet area, about a 10-minute walk from Registan Square. It seems fairly new, and everything was clean and well kept, with great value for money. The staff were especially friendly and did more than expected to make our stay enjoyable. Abdul Aziz and Jamelia, please forgive me if I've misspelled your names. Shops, cafes, and other amenities are about a 7-minute walk away, and Registan Square is 10 minutes on foot. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and ready to answer questions. Breakfast felt like Mom's cooking, all homemade and delicious. I was very pleased and recommend the hotel. Alexey stayed from April 30th to May 2nd.

The rooms are on the small side but comfortable, well soundproofed, and have a refrigerator, which is rare in small hotels in Uzbekistan. The hotel is new and everything works well. October evenings get noticeably chilly, so the air conditioning is on low. Breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful with questions, and cafes and shops nearby stay open late. It's close to the Registan, a great location in Samarkand.
