Hotel Registon Gold

The buffet breakfast is included, and there was something to eat. The hotel is new and the location is excellent, but the rooms are small with low ceilings. When we checked in, there were long black hairs all over the room. If everything had been cleaned before we arrived, I’d rate it higher. We had room 105 on the first floor near the kitchen, and there was an unpleasant garbage smell in a room. We told reception, and they cleaned it quickly.

I was the guinea pig since there weren’t any Japanese reviews. The hotel is tucked at the end of an alley, and I wondered if there was really a hotel ahead. It’s close to Registan Square, the bed is large, and the AC works well. The new hotel looks nice, but the bathroom had lots of water stains and didn’t seem cleaned, and the shower pressure was weak. Breakfast wasn’t good: it started late, around 8:30am?, there was only hot water to drink, very little choice, and no forks or spoons, so I had to eat my fried egg with my hands. At least the watermelon was delicious. Most unbelievable, the room lock wouldn’t lock. If I come to Samarkand again, I’d choose another hotel.

There were ants everywhere, on the floor, bed, and table. I was nearly driven crazy by them, almost became Ant-Man. If sleeping with ants sounds good to you, then this is the place. The water was muddy and yellow too.

We were here from March 23rd to 30th. The hotel felt new, clean, and very cozy. Registan Square is three minutes away, and Siab Market is seven. Thanks so much to the women who did our laundry and fed us in the mornings, and to the reception guys, who were always helpful and ready to assist. I especially want to thank Amirkhon, who really helped me out. It was a shame he wasn’t there when we checked out, since we wanted a selfie with him! You’re all great. Wishing your business continued growth, expansion, and excellent income, and hope you outshine the competition. I definitely recommend the hotel. If I’m lucky enough to return to Samarkand, I know where I’ll stay.
