The room made a real difference for us. We had booked a small double, but at check-in the receptionist saw that we were a family with our young son and several suitcases, and upgraded us to a larger two-room space with a separate sofa area. We were also able to leave our luggage in safe storage after checkout, which was convenient. The staff were warm, polite, and naturally thoughtful. During Ramadan, they told us the sahur time and asked if we'd need to be woken for it, even though we hadn't mentioned it. The team were professional and welcoming, and we truly enjoyed staying here.

The price was attractive and the room itself seemed okay, but a few things made the stay feel odd. There was a strange smell, laundry cost a lot, and breakfast was very average. I asked not to be disturbed for cleaning, but someone opened my door and woke me anyway. I also wasn't allowed to bring a guest to my room just to have tea while we finished a work conversation. Nobody explained the restriction, and it hadn't been mentioned at check-in. The rooms might be fine on their own, but all of this left me with a poor impression.

I had a confirmed booking through Booking.com, but when I got to the hotel at 2 a.m., a technical error meant they couldn't give me a room. I was suddenly stuck outside in the middle of the night, which was awful. The receptionist did point me to another hotel, so I wasn't left with nowhere to go. Even so, after that experience, I'd tell people to be cautious about booking here.

The bus stop is only about 100 meters away, so getting to the main tourist sights was easy and inexpensive. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. Of the three hotels I stayed in in Uzbekistan, this was easily my favorite, so I came back for my last night before flying home. Thanks especially to Abdul and Jamshid, who were so kind and helpful. I arrived the day before New Year, when most attractions were closed for a couple of days. Jamshid gave me a list of places that were still open and even lent me his bus card, since the place selling them was closed too. That kindness really helped.

We spent six nights at Art Plaza Hotel and were very comfortable. The bathroom was big and spotless, and our spacious room was clean with a really comfortable bed. Reception staff were welcoming and professional. Breakfast had plenty of variety 😊
