Central Palace Hotel

I had a comfortable, enjoyable stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and modern, it’s close to everything, and the staff were so helpful, especially Amina. Breakfast at the adjacent restaurant Zohid Kebab was okay, but the food there wasn’t memorable and there are better options nearby. At a later meal, restaurant staff put items on our table that we hadn’t ordered and tried to charge us for them, apparently hoping we’d eat or drink them. The same thing happened at other restaurants, so check your bill. Still, don’t let that put you off staying at the hotel.

The rooms have been refurbished in a modern style, and the hotel is near the metro and opera house. Omina was especially helpful and did everything she could for us. The breakfast waiter was friendly and full of energy, and the housekeepers were around whenever we needed them.

The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable. It’s also well placed for attractions, with the Metro close by.

The pool and sauna need to be booked ahead, but once reserved you get complete privacy. Alcohol isn’t permitted because this is a halal hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently close to Kosmonavtlar metro station. The staff were attentive and dealt promptly with requests, including fixing a couple of small problems with the shower and bathroom towel rail. Breakfast is served in the excellent ground-floor restaurant, with lots of dishes to choose from. Come early, though, or the food may be cold.
