Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the restaurant team were helpful. The hotel and rooms were clean. Getting a taxi to see the city was fine from this location. The reception staff didn’t seem happy to be at work, and there were no smiles there. In summer, I wouldn’t stay here. Even with the ducted air conditioning, my room stayed at 26.3 degrees or above and felt like a sauna. The TV would turn on, but the internet was too weak and unreliable to run the apps or live TV. The fridge powered up but never got cold. The level 9 terrace isn’t available to guests anymore, it’s now a conference room. The gym was okay, though some equipment needs servicing. It would also be more hygienic to have wipes available for cleaning the equipment after use. I didn’t get to use the pool or either of the two steam rooms. Each one can only be booked by one room at a time, even if there’s just one person staying in it, so chances to use them are very limited. There’s plenty of space for more people to share them at once.

We had such a good stay at Al Anvar Hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the place was spotless. There’s a supermarket and restaurants within walking distance, which made the location really convenient. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tashkent.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the people are friendly. It’s about 40 minutes from the city center, but taxis are really cheap. I’d recommend this hotel.

The room was comfortable, clean, and well looked after. I’d have liked bigger pillows, though. Also, the top floor is labeled as a lounge or terrace, but there wasn’t one. What stood out was how welcoming and courteous the staff were. Everyone I spoke with was fluent in English, so communication was easy. There is one thing to keep in mind when paying: the hotel recently switched to a system that requires a card PIN, which may not work with most American credit cards. I ran into that problem myself. The manager worked hard to find a way through it, and I ended up using my card to cover a hotel grocery expense. They kindly gave me a fruit platter in return, which I appreciated. Al Anvar Hotel was a pleasant place to stay, and I’d gladly come back knowing about the payment issue in advance.

The breakfast is delicious 😋 and the staff are really helpful. It’s only a five-minute drive from the airport.
