Human hotel

The ladies who made breakfast deserve thanks. But after we got home, my husband and I found that clothes were missing. We’d meant to send extra luggage by post and had left a bag of brand-new clothes on the floor. The cleaners were in our room that day and took it. They said they threw the bag away, but I don’t believe them. It had been four days before our check-in. We’re very disappointed that the managers ignored our problem and refused to cooperate or do anything. I changed my review from five stars to one, and we’re unlikely to stay at Human Hotel next year.

The main thing we appreciated was the excellent breakfast and the woman who prepared it, though you had to get up early to find food. The rest of the stay was a mess. Our room wasn’t cleaned after the first, second, or third night, whether we asked in person or left the “make my room” tag. The shower smelled because the drain was clogged, and cockroaches showed up in the bathroom. The staff were unfriendly and seemed unaware of the problems. They made promises that went nowhere, and the repeated “Oh, we are sorry” never came with help. Even the TV, which only worked through barely functioning internet, stayed broken throughout our stay. A manager eventually wondered why our third-floor room had been connected to basement internet. We also had no power one night, no backup generator, and came back to a pitch-dark hotel and an uncleaned room. We stayed at the end of September 2022. We had one reservation for three days, then a separate two-night stay after a short absence. Both bookings showed as active on our booking website. The first check-in went smoothly, and we paid for the first three days. They offered to take payment for the second part in advance. At 11 pm before we were due to leave at 6 the next morning, the front desk told us the second reservation wasn’t confirmed because a manager had failed to press the button. They were sold out for our dates. In the morning, after we showed the manager our booking printout and argued for a long time, he promised to book us at the neighboring hotel, “Demur,” with a discount for the trouble. We went to Samarkand, then returned to find nobody expecting us there and no reservation at all. The Demur manager did help, offering a newly opened hotel at an even lower price, despite us not being their guests or having any financial relationship with them. We’re deeply grateful to them. Breakfast was meant to run from 7 to 10 am, but at 9:15 there was no food left. The manager was eating breakfast himself while repeating, “Oh, we are sorry.” The service and the handling of our bookings were both unacceptable. I’ll never stay at a “Human” hotel or recommend it to friends. There’s no hospitality here. Stay away.

The best “Mahalla” hotel. I really recommend it.

Good location, very clean, and nice staff. The breakfast was pretty basic.
