Jules Verne Hostel Tashkent

The best thing about this hostel is its peaceful spot away from busy roads and noisy crowds. It felt like being at home, with some distance from everyone. I rented a bed for 150,000 som. The room was quiet, and even though we shared it with others, there weren't many people. Everyone came in to sleep or sit and respected the shared space, so I never woke up because of anyone. The people were amazing, and the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. I wish they'd add two things. First, there are no hoses in the bathrooms, so you can't use water there. I had to go to the mosque to use the bathroom for No'2. Also, the shared beds don't have privacy sheets you can close around the bed. That would be easy to add. Apart from those things, honestly, everything was great.

For the price, it's a nice hostel, with clean rooms and breakfast included. The area around it is nice too. The rooms are very functional, though, with no curtains around the beds for a bit of privacy and no lockers. There also isn't a cozy place to meet other people or hang out. Still, it's a good option for staying in Tashkent.

The hostel itself was comfortable, clean, and in a nice spot, but the WiFi was practically unusable. I had a strong signal to the router, yet nothing loaded and it showed no internet for hours. When I asked whether the service was down, they blamed too many people and too many floors, even though the place was at least half empty and I was on the ground floor. Older reviews mention the same issue from one and two years ago, so it seems to have been going on for a while. This feels like a poor internet service, not a problem with crowding or floors.

The hostel is roomy and clean, and the staff are friendly. I’d suggest adding lockable private lockers and curtains for the bunk beds. Apart from those things, I’d recommend staying here.
