Lakeside Tashkent Hotel

Oydon deserves a big thank you. She was welcoming, kind, and always ready to help, and really made our stay memorable. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful too. The hotel was very clean, and check-in was quick and easy. Amazing stay!

About an hour after I checked in, I found that my room had no water or electricity. I asked to move, but the staff refused in front of the manager, who also seemed unqualified for the job. They treated me as though I were staying for free, even though I had paid. I left the hotel and came back at night, but the problem still wasn’t properly sorted. They had left my bag in the corridor and the room open, and told me they had fixed only the water and electricity. They brushed off all the time I’d lost. The staff were dishonest and not capable of dealing with guests. This was a miserable experience, and I don’t recommend staying here at all.

The hotel’s location is great, the breakfast is tasty, and the staff are pleasant. But our two-night stay at Lakeside had cleanliness and room problems. The first room we were checked into was completely dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. The replacement wasn’t fully clean either, with small dirty spots around the room. I took photos to show you, since we were mostly on the road and I didn’t want to make too much of a complaint during a short stay. The door’s chain lock was missing, so I put my stroller in front of it to keep my toddlers from opening it and walking out. The shower also leaked water across the floor. At check-in, no one explained where things were or when breakfast was, so we kept going down to the lobby to ask.

The staff helped when they could, but contacting reception meant physically going there. Breakfast was very basic, and the windows were blocked, with no daylight or view. Pretty disappointing.
