A great location, very close to the metro and Amir Temur Square. There’s an Indian restaurant in the hotel, and plenty of other restaurants and pubs within walking distance. A must-stay, especially for Indian visitors.

Great stay at a hotel in the city centre. It has vegetarian food options and an Indian vibe, with Raj Kapur restaurant on the second floor.

The central location is easily the best part, and the staff were responsive and helpful when I shared feedback. The hotel is a little old but okay for a short stay. Breakfast was quite poor, though, and there was a strong smell in the lobby and elevators, probably from the Indian restaurant downstairs. The ventilation didn’t seem adequate. Smoking isn’t allowed in rooms without balconies. There are shared balconies at the ends of the hallways, but we weren’t allowed to use them. Staff said they were emergency exits, although they looked like ordinary balconies.

The building is well known to cab drivers as Tata building, so it’s easy to find even with a language barrier. For Indian tourists, Raj kapur serves authentic Indian food, and the breakfast options are excellent. But the room cleaning wasn’t up to the mark, the bathroom was very small and had no jetters, and reception wasn’t very helpful. In particular, Mr.Daulat kept us waiting in the lobby for three hours after we arrived from India because of hotel policy, unless we were ready to pay the tariff. On the last day, we had to check out at noon sharp and leave our bags at the concierge; Mr.Daulat wouldn’t give us even one extra hour, though the hotel was barely 50% occupied. Check-in is at 2pm and checkout at 12 noon, so keep in mind you’re paying for 22 hours.

The service was absolutely trash. They told us laundry was included, then at checkout said we had to pay 1m sum or they wouldn’t let us leave. We had a flight to catch.
