Ludem Hotel

When we arrived, they took us to this hostel and charged us $100. The place was awful: no windows, a terrible stench, dirty sheets, and floors that looked like they hadn't been washed in a month. It felt like a scam. Don't even consider staying there!

The rooms are okay, nothing special, but nothing wrong with them either. The management was very helpful, and the central location and price fit the room. I didn't run into the issues mentioned in most of the negative reviews. Seems like they've fixed them, well done :)

The breakfast buffet was a plus, and there was no road noise. Staff were helpful with questions, could move you to a free room, and would bring furniture if you wanted it. My room had no window, but sunlight didn't disturb my sleep, and there was air conditioning and ventilation. The soundproofing was awful. I've stayed at four hotels at the same price or cheaper, and this was the worst. I could hear neighbors around me watching TV until midnight, making it impossible to sleep. I left my keys for housekeeping in the morning, but nothing had been cleaned by the time I got back that evening. There was no table or chair, no shelves in the closet, and a film in the shower.

The location is good, the breakfasts are decent, and they provide a good set of soap and toothbrushes plus clean towels and linens. Even so, I wouldn't recommend staying here, even for free. The rooms have no windows or ventilation, and they aren't cleaned. The soundproofing is so bad I woke up every 20 minutes through the night. The mattresses and pillows are very hard, the closets are falling apart, and there are no chairs.
