North Star Hotel

The rooms are modern and really good. One night, guests in the room next door had a party, and the night manager couldn't get it to stop. I couldn't sleep because of it, though otherwise my stay was good. At breakfast, the butter packets were so hard to open they practically needed surgical tools 🥴

The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we checked in. They were warm, helpful, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel was also spotless everywhere, from our room to the common areas. We had a wonderful time here, and the child-friendly atmosphere made it a great choice for our family. I'd happily recommend it to anyone traveling with kids.

My room was dark even during the day because renovations had put an iron curtain over the window, despite rooms being sold as “With a view.” The location also wasn't ideal, about a 15-minute walk from the nearest Metro Station and a bit far from most attractions. Breakfast was okay but always cold, eggs included. There were water coolers in the hall and a kettle for making drinks, but the cooler was often empty. The hotel is clean and has Wi-Fi and air-conditioning. I had paid for my room through Agoda several days before arriving, but reception said they no longer worked with Agoda and hadn't received payment. They didn't try to contact Agoda, and the hotel is still listed there. They insisted that I pay again for the same room, with an extra 30% on top of what I'd already paid.

The bed was comfortable and the room was okay, but our room never got a Wi-Fi signal. Breakfast was limited, and it stayed cold no matter what time we went.
