We paid a good price for what felt like a swish hotel, and I’d happily stay again in an instant. The rooms were big and comfortable, the bathroom massive, and everything super clean. There was a top floor buffet breakfast with a view over the skyline, plus a pool, sauna, and steamroom. The area felt safe. It was about a ten-minute drive from the airport, and a Yandex to anywhere in the city was cheap.

Near the center of Tashkent, this is a superb hotel choice. The interior is breathtaking, with modern, spacious rooms, and the staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning.

We spent 2+1 nights here and have only good things to say about the facilities and staff. Reception were extremely friendly and flexible, even with several different requests during our stay. The rooms were literally brand new and clean, and breakfast was superb for both variety and quality. The pool and jacuzzi were very good too. Maybe over the next few months the gym could use some benches and weights or dumbbells. Apart from that, it’s a superb hotel!

I’ve traveled to many countries, including Thailand and Indonesia, where hospitality is top notch, and I’ve never seen such a complete lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. Uzbekistan is a beautiful country, but this hotel’s conduct felt closer to a scam than a hospitality business. I strongly advise travelers to stay elsewhere. They couldn’t keep to the prices they’d given us. We negotiated a rate for an extra guest that included breakfast, but the next day staff harassed my mother in the restaurant and demanded more money. Then we had another dispute about a late checkout fee, which had somehow changed from the price quoted the day before. Prices seemed to be made up depending on who was at the desk. There was also no communication before arrival. We emailed several times and got no response. They didn’t seem to care about guest needs until we were standing in front of them, and even then the service was abysmal. Reception staff were rude and condescending, with no basic soft skills. They made us feel like “beggars” for asking them to honor their own quoted prices. Turning an elderly guest away from breakfast over a “system error” they had created was disgraceful. In Thailand and Indonesia, hospitality is about service. Here it felt like it was about extraction. They only “fixed” their mistakes after I had to argue publicly. Guests shouldn’t have to fight for basic honesty in a hotel. Checkout was another example of the mismanagement. When we tried to sort out the bills with the manager, he wouldn’t listen and spent the time arguing that he would charge us through “Expedia.” We later realized he was fixated on the wrong platform, because our booking was through Agoda. It was a glaring “rookie” mistake from a senior staff member. They were so busy being defensive that they didn’t check basic facts. This hotel is a stain on Uzbek tourism. At best it’s disorganized, at worst dishonest. Save yourself the stress and “hidden fees” and book somewhere else. In response to the manager’s reply: Thank you for acknowledging the error with the original breakfast price, but calling the resolution a proactive act of “goodwill” doesn’t reflect what happened. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t a gift. It took nearly an hour of exhausting arguing at the front desk to get the hotel to honor its own written confirmation, while my elderly mother was publicly turned away from the dining room. The late checkout fee also wasn’t waived for our “comfort.” Management gave in at the last moment because they’d gotten stuck in an administrative deadlock, insisting on charging through Expedia even though our documents clearly showed Agoda. Waiving the fee was an exit strategy to sort out their own internal system confusion, not an accommodation. We’ve also learned that management members have been posting self-serving reviews on Google and Agoda as artificial damage control. A perfect score online won’t fix the real service and leadership failures. True hospitality means consistency, administrative competence, and respect throughout a stay, not manipulative public relations.

The rooftop terrace was a highlight, with lovely city views and a wide breakfast spread: fruit, hot and cold dishes, sweets, snacks, and plenty more. In the evening the same space is a restaurant. The food is more European-style than traditional Uzbek, but still good. We especially liked our spacious, nicely decorated room, with its balcony and large bathroom. The hotel is in a peaceful area near good local restaurants, around a 15-minute drive from the city center, train station, and airport. It was the second hotel we stayed at in Tashkent, and it turned out to be the best one. The SPA has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, hammam (Turkish bath), and wet and dry saunas. The only small drawback was that the pool and sauna water felt a bit cold, around 27°C. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. Special thanks to Azizbek at reception and Maloxat from housekeeping, who handled our somewhat delicate request with genuine care, dedication, and a personal touch. We’re truly grateful for their help and will definitely stay here again when we return to Tashkent.
