Welcome East Hotel Boutique-hotel

The photos on Booking.com and other booking sites showed a room nothing like the one we got. Most troubling, there was no sink in the bathroom. The only water came from an old bathtub faucet, which we found completely unacceptable for a hotel room. We arrived around 2:00 a.m., and staff said we couldn't change rooms or cancel then. At first, they said the previous guest had broken the sink. But there weren't even connections for one. Later they told us Room 16 had never had a sink at all. That didn't seem credible or transparent to us. They offered us another room, but after what had happened we no longer trusted the hotel and politely declined. Early the next morning, we left for another hotel. The hotel later canceled our Booking.com reservation entirely, making it look as if we'd never checked in. At first, that also kept us from leaving a review there. To us, the published room photos were misleading advertising. We can't recommend this hotel.
