White Hill House

Calm and quiet.

The hotel itself is pretty decent: clean, spacious rooms, all the amenities, and the owners are good people. But we couldn't pay by card at all. We were traveling without cash, and the only option offered at reception was a transfer from our card. That would've meant a poor exchange rate and a big commission. There's no terminal, and no other way to pay. After a difficult day of travel, we just wanted to sleep. The staff were understandably concerned about getting paid and kept coming into the room, so we couldn't even lie down and rest. I agreed to make the transfer despite the fees, but for some reason it wouldn't go through and the payment was rejected. We explained the situation at reception and decided to leave, and the owners understood. If you're traveling with cash, this could be a good option. With a card, though, it's better not to waste your time.

The staff were wonderful, the breakfasts were delicious, and the coffee was especially good. There was also excellent parking and a stunning view from the window. Thank you for such a memorable stay. I'd recommend experiencing the hotel's warmth and its cozy, welcoming staff. Thank you.

The room was spacious and clean, with good-quality cotton bed linens. Staff were attentive and always smiling. Breakfast was repetitive, but their friendliness made up for it.
