La Posada Del Hidalgo

The staff at both the hotel and restaurant were excellent, friendly, and attentive. The food was very good, though a little pricey. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, but the room was run down and really just suited for sleeping. It had a small old TV, though at least there was cable. A strong musty smell came from the wooden bathroom ceiling, and the shower was tiny. Saltpeter and rust left the water spray very weak.

I felt really comfortable here, and the staff treated me so well. The simple design didn't bother me, and it was a cozy place to sleep off my hangover. When I woke up, I found there was a restaurant, and the food was spectacular. I had a wonderful time.

Back in its heyday, it had a great atmosphere and food. It used to offer rooms and customer parking, and there were good times with live music and dancing on the floor. It's currently closed because of the country's situation and the pandemic. I hope it reopens soon. 👍

Nothing fancy, but it works for an overnight stay or a short day trip. The rooms are nothing special, and the restaurant is very good but expensive. It's close to both the international and domestic airports, with private parking and good security.
