Continental Altamira

The reception team had plenty of suggestions for places to visit, and the hotel was near good malls and places to eat. After a full day of walking, we came back at night to rest, and the comfortable beds made the rooms just right for our stay.

Daniel, the swimming pool waiter, gave the best service in his class. The place and room were nice, and the location was good. The pool wasn't as hot as they said, though it was still okay after 2 pm. There's no room charge system, so each bill has to be paid right away instead of being settled at checkout.

The second night, the reception phone rang while we were asleep. They said they'd undercharged us and wanted us to come down to the lobby to pay the difference. It was 10 pm, so we asked them to wait until morning, but they called again at 11 pm demanding payment. They kept harassing us over their own mistake, and the whole thing felt deeply unprofessional, almost delinquent. It was awful, and I wouldn't call this a good hotel. Be aware. We'd booked by phone and received an email confirmation showing the price for two nights. When we arrived as scheduled, they charged us the full stay. The first night was only regular because the air conditioner didn't work and we couldn't sleep. We insisted the next day, and they moved us to another room.

The location is excellent, with lots of places nearby to go out for dinner. It's a good option for a business stay and the prices are nice. It's not the most comfortable place, but it has what you need to stay okay.
