About this property
Located in the financial district of Caracas, this hotel is just a 15-minute drive from the historical city centre. The nearest subway stop is a 10-minute walk away and guests looking for some upscale shopping and dining will need just twice as long to reach the Las Mercedes shopping centre. The venue itself houses a restaurant where they can enjoy delicious local and international dishes and first-class service. The bar is the perfect place for catching-up with friends or just sitting down and enjoying a hot brew, while browsing the Internet. Those who need little extra help with relaxing can head to the pool or visit the spa centre for a few rejuvenating procedures. The active types can maintain their workout routine in the gym or get their competitive spirit loose at the tennis court.

The location is very good, and the room had a fantastic view. The breakfast was okay, though the menu didn’t change. From the outside the building looks old, but inside it’s well maintained, with a small shopping mall built in and a good range of amenities. There were problems in both rooms I stayed in: the washroom massage showers didn’t work, and the bidet leaked, leaving water on the floor. Without an exhaust fan, the washroom stayed damp. The pool also closes at 6 pm, much too early.

There’s plenty of greenery around, with plants, flowers, and trees, and the hotel has been upgraded. The rooms and service are great. It also has a top of the line gym, spa, jacuzzi, tennis court, and casino, and you can book a massage.

For a deluxe room in a 5 star hotel, I ran into a few things that weren’t working.

The service could have gone further, and the staff attention could’ve been better. One room service item was listed at one price, then I was told it would cost $9 more for the cutlery and room service. That sucked. Enjoy it while it lasts, but the menu cards should be upfront and kept current.

The most beautiful, modern 5 star hotel in Caracas. Luxury with style.
