Hotel Lake Plaza

The room was in poor condition. The hotel needs to improve all of its services.

The pool was at least open and clean, and my renovated room had Wi-Fi and a smart TV. The hotel is under renovation, with only the first three floors open. There’s no hot water, the elevators are out of service, and there’s no room service or bar at all. The parking area is open. A security guard sits in the lobby by the gate, but I couldn’t tell how long he stays alert before falling asleep. The hotel is in a fairly isolated area too. Honestly, I wouldn’t return in these conditions.

The service was good, and the hotel is being renovated. It’s quite good overall, though I think a few things could still be improved.

The room is spacious and has two large beds in separate areas, two sofa beds that can sleep up to four people, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen. Beyond that, my stay was difficult. Access is a bit challenging, though you can see they’re making an effort to reopen the hotel. There were water problems while I was there: it was rationed for 30 minutes at certain times and wasn’t even potable, which was unpleasant. Housekeeping came only every three days, which was annoying since they didn’t change towels or clean the room. At checkout, they count every last fork, and they also do this at checkout. They require a $100 cash security deposit. The pool was neglected and looked dirty, the bathroom faucets were badly damaged, and food choices were limited. They almost never had what was listed on the menu, so it was a gamble.
