Coconut Coast Villas

We spent two weeks at Coconut Coast Villas and had a great stay. The Poinsettia room was very clean, with a comfortable king bed and lovely pillows. We made coffee there in the mornings and used the grill for a few meals. Sitting on the porch with coffee and that beautiful view was a treat. We didn’t have a car, but the walk to Cruz Bay was easy. There were lots of beach chairs available, too. Angelica and Ben were wonderful hosts, and we hope to come back soon.

A pool and grill are on hand if you’d rather have a barbecue at home, and Franke Bay is just a five-minute walk away through Coconut Coast Studios. It’s a nice spot for a morning snorkel, though the afternoon sun gets pretty strong. Taxis are easy to find near the ferry dock for trips to other beaches. Coconut Coast Villas is about ten minutes on foot from downtown, so it worked well as a car-free start to our St. John vacation. We could walk to Solomon and Honeymoon beaches and settle into island time straight away.

The birding was a nice extra, with the place right beside a pond. We also appreciated the lending shelf of snorkeling gear, beach chairs, towels, coolers, and pretty much what we needed for a beach day. Our room had everything for cooking, even spices, and the beds were really comfortable. Couldn’t have chosen a better spot.

The best part for us was how affordable it was, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Angelica and Ben were absolutely great, and the view was amazing. The room was clean and had the basics, plus there’s a small pool and beach and snorkeling gear to borrow. Laundry access was handy. There was also an honor-system fridge for drinks and snacks, and a free basket with things like reef-safe sunscreen and bug spray. Those little extras made the stay even better. Keep up the great work, Angelica and Ben!
