Mafolie Hotel

The hotel restaurant was a frustrating experience. The servers didn't seem to have a system for who was handling which table or who was next, and several different people came by while our order took forever. My $40 jerk chicken pasta looked like something I'd make at home on a Tuesday, and the chicken tasted like plain chicken, not jerk. Our bill was twice what we paid at Sib's up the street, where the food was much better. I'd use the breakfast coupons for the free breakfast and enjoy the view, but skip dinner there. The bed had a broken leg and felt ready to collapse; a repairman fixed it, but it still wobbled and felt flimsy. There was almost no water pressure at the shower or sink. No coffee in the room, though there was a microwave, and beach towels were available, which was nice. Don't use their recommended taxi driver, who charges twice as much as the airport taxi.

Our flight got delayed until the next day, and it was easy to book since two rooms were still available. The hotel, room, bar, food and check-in were all great. Larry and Shelby did a spot-on job with the drinks, food and bar service. Everything was neat and clean, and the view was magnificent. I'd definitely stay again!

The pool area was comfortable and really nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also had great views and a good location, with some parking spots plus plenty of street parking. Beaches around the area were within a 30-minute drive: Magan's Bay beach and Linbergh beach were close, while Sapphire beach, Linquist beach and Coki beach were about 15-20 minutes away. Our room was a bit dated and lacked a few necessities. The restaurant food was great, though a little pricey, and Robin there was amazing.

The view from this hotel was amazing, and the free breakfast and staff were great. Elisa welcomed us so warmly when we arrived, and she was kind and friendly throughout. She's one of a kind. I'd love to come back. Thank you so much!
