Sunset Gardens Guesthouse

Deb and Faye were so sweet and helpful, especially with suggestions for beaches and places to visit. The island view is amazing, and this feels like a great place to rest and unwind. You’ll probably run into a guy named Rick while you’re there. He’s awesome too.

We had a great two-bedroom room, with both bedrooms opening onto the balcony. From there you could see everything. It was a wonderful place.

We only had one extra night here after a mechanical problem delayed our departure flight, so we missed out on the pool and amenities like the grill. The room itself had a nice setup, with the bedroom separated from the kitchen by the bathroom. There was a stove, microwave, coffee pot, full-size fridge and freezer, plus plates, bowls, silverware, utensils, and glasses. Hot water came quickly, the shower was a good size, and the little balcony was nice for two to have morning coffee or watch the sunset. Wi-Fi worked well, and the TVs were smart. The hillside location looks out over the bays, with great breezes and sunset views. I’d recommend staying here if you have a way to get around, though taxis can cost a small chest of treasure.

The front desk lady was wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The views are fantastic, though you'll need a car or be ready to pay for taxis to get anywhere, and they only take cash. Since the rooms have kitchens, it’s probably best to stop at a grocery store first. The place is a little dated and could use some freshening up.
