Great Bay Condominiums located at The Ritz-Carlton Club, St Thomas

The grounds are beautiful, the landscaping is lovely, and the guest rooms are well appointed. The service and food quality didn't live up to them, which was disappointing at the cost of a Ritz accommodation. They should have offered complimentary taxi service at least around the local area and Red Hook. Asking guests to pay the VI's high taxi fares to travel half a mile into town is ridiculous. I didn't feel welcomed.

My family and I love the property and the people who work there, and we've made long-lasting friendships with them. But the Ritz Carlton vacation club has gone downhill, and the Great Bay neighborhood association board is awful. I bought part ownership of a Suite in St Thomas over 10 years ago, and the board doesn't seem to care about owners or how they're treated. We had a week booked with my family in September 2025, then six days before our flight they emailed to cancel. I've sent the board multiple emails asking about compensation or reimbursement for the lost week and other losses from the last-minute cancellation. As of today, they haven't acknowledged or answered any of them. The Ritz has washed its hands of it and says the neighborhood association Board has to handle the issue. Mr Doyle doesn't list a phone number or reply to emails. I highly recommend visiting, but do NOT buy a unit in St Thomas. You'll be disappointed.

The unit and the whole facility were immaculate. Service and accommodations were excellent, a 10 out of 10.

The food was mediocre at best. I've had better meals in hospital cafes. We travel many times a year and stay at nice hotels around the world, and this place was a disgrace to the Ritz. We usually stay at the Frenchman cove, and that's the only place I'll stay in the future. We will NEVER be back. The bath water was brown, so I couldn't bathe my baby. I called four times over four days, and the problem was never fixed. My baby and mother in law woke up covered in what must have been bed bugs. Absolutely terrible. He's covered all over his hands, legs, and face. Disgraceful. Housekeeping came in for the first time all week while we were still packing up the room. Somehow a bag was left with the guy taking the bags. By the time I realized, we were at the airport. They said they'd mail it, but that's almost 2 weeks ago now. They sent me a picture of tracking, but the bag was never dropped off. I'm not sure I'll ever get it back. Now they're saying USPS may have lost it. Right.
