Hampton by Hilton St. Thomas

It was easy to get around without a rental car since there are shops and restaurants nearby, and the hotel is close to the port. We liked staying at the newer Hampton, especially the updated rooms that felt cleaner. Breakfast was typical, but I enjoyed the fruit and plantains they served. The lobby water spout was handy for filling bottles so we didn't have to buy water. Cruise ship horns can be noisy when ships leave the port, and they might be right outside your window, but it wasn't a big deal for us. To get a taxi, ask the front desk to call one. The staff were always kind about arranging rides and letting us know when to come out. I wish I'd gotten their names so I could mention them in a good review. 10/10 service from them! The listed shuttle service has to be requested in advance and costs extra, so I'd recommend a taxi instead. They're easy to get at the airport after baggage claim. It was about ~$50 to the hotel for 3 people with bags. I'd come back.

The patio became one of my favorite parts of the stay. We spent most evenings there relaxing, and the location made it easy to walk to restaurants, shopping areas, and a local grocery store. We arrived without much of a plan for our last-minute trip, but Dee made a big difference. She was a breath of fresh air, helped us plan our days, and had great suggestions for excursions and local restaurants. The staff made us feel so well cared for from the moment we arrived. I loved everything about this hotel and can't wait to return.

Restaurants and shops were all within walking distance, which made this a perfect place to start our trip in St. Thomas. We stayed one night and checked on 4/22. We arrived early, and our room was ready. The lobby and veranda, where the pool bar was, were exquisite. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in through check-out. I'd definitely stay again for the service and great vibes.

After a cancelled flight and a long day, we needed somewhere just for the night. Check-in was smooth, the staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean. But the bar across the street made our room LOUD. The TV reception didn't work, maybe because the WiFi wasn't fast enough, so we couldn't watch anything and had to listen to the neighboring bar's bass. We paid $912 for the night. If you're staying before or after a cruise, I'd find another hotel. If you want a city center spot to walk around and enjoy town, and don't need to sleep, this is your place.
