Luxury Beachfront Duplex Villa on Sapphire Beach I

The view from the balcony and the beach itself were beautiful, and it was handy having a bar, a couple of fast food spots, and an upscale restaurant on site. But I paid a premium to stay on the beach and got Unit A301, which didn't look like it had been upgraded since it was built. I also thought the grounds needed better upkeep. Other guests told me booking through VRBO was the better way to go than booking through the office.

We first came in 2023, and the place felt like home as soon as we arrived. We've stayed in the red-roofed condos for three years straight, twice in building B and most recently in C, always on the ground floor. We can head out to explore the island or St John, or just relax here. We hope to make it back every year if we can. I can't say enough good things about this location.

The beach is nice, but the rest of the grounds really aren't, and the condo feels a bit tired. We're about 900 feet, or three buildings, from the food and bar. They've had live music twice so far, and it's so loud I can feel the bass. Most guests seem to be in their late 40s to 60s, so the volume feels out of place. The food is okay, like a lot of restaurants here, nothing special. We've been to St. Thomas several times and will definitely try Secret Harbour next time.

We only stayed one night because the resort we'd booked couldn't line up availability with our flight home. Our condo in Sapphire Village had an interior remodeled sometime not too long ago, though the outside was worn. The main resort looked very run down, and the pool bar was abandoned and falling apart. I wouldn't recommend either the main resort or the condos. Thank God it was just one night.
