Secret Harbour Beach Resort

We spent two days at Secret Harbor Beach after a week in St. John, and they made us feel like family right away. The room was clean, the air conditioning worked, the view was great, and there was hot coffee in the morning. Housekeeping stayed on top of things. The one letdown was the pull-out bed, which felt like it dated from 1999 and had been used far too many times. The pillows and white blankets could use refreshing too, and some furniture had stains. Breakfast and brunch were well worth having. We loved the pomegranate mimosa, yogurt parfait with fresh blueberries, Caribbean lobster and eggs with crispy potatoes, and smoked salmon Benedict with crispy potatoes. Our server was kind and attentive. Dinner at Sunset grille was good too, with ahi tuna and miso-glazed sea-bass served with rice and vegetables. Our server greeted us with a smile as soon as we sat down. Reservations on OpenTable are a good idea since they fill quickly. Hope we can return someday.

The staff made everything feel personal and easy, and the on-site food and beach amenities meant we could just unwind without feeling hurried or crowded. Our room was roomy, spotless, and set up well for relaxing, with ocean views that made the mornings special. The resort sits right on a beautiful, calm beach that felt peaceful and private, and it was easy to get into the water. We chose Secret Harbour Beach Resort for our honeymoon, and it exceeded what we expected. It felt romantic without being overdone, and luxurious without being pretentious. We'll treasure those memories for a lifetime.

The harbor was good for swimming and free diving, and getting a paddleboard or kayak rental was easy. Housekeeping came every day and did a great job, and the restaurant staff were nice. The rooms were decent, right by the beach, with working air conditioning and bathrooms, though the Wi-Fi was spotty. The sofa beds were really uncomfortable. Both the patio restaurant and Sunset grill were way overpriced. The resort has plenty of water sports amenities.

The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. This was a perfect snorkeling spot, so there was no need to go all the way to Trunk Bay. We'll definitely be back, though I'd make sure to get a top-floor room. The parents above us let their child run and yell early in the morning and early evening. We had to call and complain on our last night, and the noise cost us sleep.
