My husband and I booked through Agoda before arriving. At reception, we were told the hotel no longer used Agoda, then charged 100 VND more per night than the rate on our booking. That was disappointing since the hotel was still listed there, and we expected to pay the price we had booked online. The receptionist wouldn't hear us out, so we ended up paying extra each night.

Really good hotel.
It's a quiet, safe local hotel with friendly people, and they'll accommodate requests. There are lots of Korean restaurants and convenience stores within 500 meters, and the prices are cheaper than Korean hotels.
This was a terrible stay. I booked and paid for seven days through the AGODA app, but the hotel refused to let me check in, saying it had no connection with AGODA. I asked why it appeared in AGODA search results. The manager said they used to work with them but didn't anymore. When I asked whose fault it was that the listing remained, the manager told me to call AGODA because the hotel knew nothing about it. I asked if that was how they treated guests, and was told AGODA was a scam and the hotel couldn't let me stay or issue a refund. I felt like I was in China, and thought the hotel manager was Chinese. It was a terrible experience. Even if the hotel and Agoda have a dispute, why should I have to pay for a service I couldn't use, especially the fee for a full 7-day stay? It's like buying Vinpearl Land tickets at the booth and then being turned away at the entrance by people who say they have nothing to do with it. Is that what reasonable service looks like?
