Bike parking felt more secure here than at other places, which put my mind at ease. The room was fine, the beds comfortable enough, and the air-con worked. There was a fan too, so it stayed cool. We'd booked a non-smoking room but got a smoker two-bed room. It is what it is. For a cheap place on the Cao Bang loop, it wasn't too bad for what we paid.

The rooms are large and the price is fair. The owner's lady was alone, so I can't really judge the service. She offered to cook dinner. I heard she's going to sell the place.

The staff are really friendly, speak enough English for the important things, and have a safe place to lock up bikes. Still, for this quality I think it should cost even less. I don't know whether other places in town are better. The bed is extremely hard, and most rooms have no windows or vents, so the air feels stale. The walls are paper thin, and you hear the next room coughing or spitting as if it's happening in yours. Someone's blasting their TV late at night while I'm trying to sleep right now.

We were happy with our stay. The room was huge, and the parking felt very secure. A great choice if you're watching your budget.
