We’ve stayed at Ham Luong many times and are here again while visiting family in Ben Tre. It’s a comfortable, clean three-star hotel in a great spot, right across from the Ham Luong River, a handy starting point for exploring the beautiful Mekong Delta. I recommend it wholeheartedly to visitors from elsewhere in Vietnam or from abroad. This time we’d paid extra and asked for a river view, but our first room was too low to see the river and a tent blocked the view. We asked, and they moved us to a room with a better view. I’d also suggest keeping tiled floors throughout. Both rooms offered this time had carpet, whereas in my past stays every room had tile, which has always felt much cleaner to me. That’s a minor complaint. The hotel is very nice overall.

The location is convenient, across the river and within walking distance of street markets, eateries, and groceries. Prices are competitive with other places in the area and along the river. I attended a large event here and the service was impeccable. I stayed one night and had no complaints. The hotel seems older, so expect dated decor and amenities. Our two-bedroom room was clean and open, with tall windows, a fridge, TV, and AC. Service was good when we needed it, and the Wi-Fi was smooth and fast. A large breakfast buffet was included, best to go early if you plan to eat. The credit card machine was broken at checkout, so have the Momo app or cash ready.

We only spent one night here, but I’d come back for a longer stay. Breakfast buffet was a nice start to the morning. The selection wasn’t big, but it was OK for the location.

I wasn’t staying at the hotel, but when my phone accidentally fell into the river out front, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to arrange a boat to search for it. Thank you so much!
