Grab serves the area, which is handy, but the location isn't especially convenient or quiet. Highway horns can be heard at all hours. There are a few local eateries and a cafe down the side streets, plus a couple of tap hoa's, or local convenience stores. One thing to know: Google Maps may point you to the highway for the entrance, but it's actually down the side street off the main highway. Ha Trinh Hotel isn't pet friendly, but reception eventually let me stay with my dog after I promised she wouldn't sleep on the bed. The younger man who escorted me from the underground carpark rudely tried to turn us away, despite his superior having approved it. I ignored him and took the elevator to my room. Whenever I saw him afterward, he gave me filthy looks and acted unprofessionally. His mama needs to slap some manners into him! My room cost 450k including a basic Asian cuisine breakfast. It was spacious and passably clean, though a bit expensive. It had a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a queen bed with a medium-firm mattress. There was a flatscreen TV with basic channels and a somewhat hazy picture, an older refrigerator that worked okay, and basic wooden furniture: a desk and chair, bedside table, wardrobe with a safe inside, and a small table with a chair. The room opened onto a balcony, but it was open and shared with the adjacent rooms. The bathroom showed its age and had some quick repairs. Hot water was plentiful, but the shower was in the bathtub rather than separate. It was functional and adequate, nothing impressive. The hotel should do for a few nights if you just need somewhere to rest, and seems more suited to businessmen.

I booked a standard room, but there wasn't one available when I arrived. Owner Johnny upgraded me to a superior room. It had a kettle, hair dryer, and toiletries, and the room itself was fine. The only issue was the water, which was barely above cold. Fine for a hot afternoon, but not for a bath at night.

My boyfriend and I booked the VIP massage for two, 200,000 Vnd each, which gave us a private room with a female masseuse each. The massage was terrible from the start, the worst we've ever had. They barely squeezed bits of skin and put in very little effort. One masseuse even fell asleep while working on my boyfriend. They seemed rushed and kept yawning, and finished ten minutes early on a one-hour massage. Then they stood there asking for a tip. I didn't think it was worth one, but still gave a generous 100,000vnd. They said that was too little, claimed the minimum they get is double, and demanded another 100,000vnd. I expected a massage to be relaxing, but this was awkward, uncomfortable, and infuriating. We told the manager how it went and said we got the impression the girls wanted to give "happy endings," but he didn't seem to take the feedback seriously. Don't come here unless you want to get ripped off.

The stay was good overall, but the bathroom smelled a bit and had a cockroach. There was shampoo, though no soap.

I liked the clean hotel, fair price, and good service. Lunch and breakfast were both pretty good too. I'd definitely come back.
