OYO 991 Duy Anh Hotel

The balcony was clean and had a nice view, and the service seemed great when I asked about it. Food was brought right when I arrived. But the check-in was a huge letdown. There were no sheets on the bed, no hooks, and the few slippers there were dirty. The bathroom was right beside my bed, and I had to share it with my roommate. I’d paid extra for a better room, so this was really disappointing. The owner didn’t seem to know what was going on and didn’t want to talk. And the balcony looked out over a whole sea of graves. It was awful. I wouldn’t come back. Maybe it works for couples staying just a few hours, but I think anyone there long term would end up crying.

Don’t stay here. I booked one kind of room but got something of terrible quality. It was dirty, dusty, musty, and covered in cobwebs.

This morning I asked the receptionist about the prices and was told I’d get an extra discount if I came back in the afternoon. When I did, there was no discount. Making two different promises is a recipe for disaster!

I booked through Booking.com with a credit card, and Agoda offers that too. When I arrived, the hotel said the room cost 220k VND, and that I could stay if I wanted or leave it. There were only two young children, around 10 years old, looking after the place. I gave it one star and stayed at the hotel next door for 250k VND. I didn’t like seeing one price advertised and being charged another. If you’re going to run a business, do it properly.
