JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort & Spa

The food at breakfast was high quality and generous, especially the freshly squeezed juices and bánh xèo. My room was suite-sized by the standard of many 5 star hotels, and I felt comfortable enough to properly rest and relax. The resort is new, modern, and luxurious, set among lush virgin forest with banyan trees at least 150 years old. Housekeeping checked my room twice a day even when I didn’t ask, the gardeners did a great job and were cheerful, and I didn’t see mosquitoes, ants, or other bugs. I disagree with reviews saying the rooms aren’t freshened daily or the staff aren’t cheerful. Cam Ranh itself is a big part of the appeal: powdery white sand, clear blue water, and Long Beach stretching 10km for walking or jogging. Seafood was fresh and well priced. Getting there from HCMC by the new highway, driving or renting a ride, is easy, especially for more than 2 people, and flying is easy too. I’ve stayed at many ultra luxury resorts around the world, and I think this is one of the best values. I’ll definitely return often. A few things could be better. The pools felt like water parks in Korea, as another reviewer put it, and I couldn’t enjoy them during my 4 days there. There should be 1 pool for adults. The Reservations department felt rigid, bossy, and unfriendly, not like a team at an upscale luxury hotel, especially compared with other hotels at the same level. Phương, the F&B manager, seemed unsure whether to smile at guests, though he half smiled when he saw me, and should set a good example for staff. Some breakfast cooks looked stressed, as other reviews have said, though the food was great. I hope future reviewers will be fair: giving a bad review just because the buggy is slow seems unfair to this wonderful place and the efforts of its hundreds of staff. I hope to use the pool next time.

Hau especially made our stay feel warm and personal, always helping with a smile and looking after us with real care. The rest of the staff were friendly and attentive too. We found the property beautiful, relaxing, and well maintained, and our clean, comfortable room and thoughtfully designed facilities made the visit a pleasure. The resort exceeded our expectations, and we’d definitely love to come back. Highly recommended for a comfortable, memorable stay.

The yoga sessions facing the sea were deeply relaxing, and the Tabata classes and Nature Loop Run coach were energetic and motivating. All the instructors were excellent. The beach, 2 swimming pools, and natural surroundings were stunning and very peaceful. We also enjoyed eating at both restaurants, and breakfast had a great range of dishes, salads, and fresh fruit. Service was warm throughout, with every staff member welcoming and smiling. Our room was spacious, elegant, and comfortable. The golf car drivers were consistently cheerful, and Mr. Luu’s kindness and caring nature touched us so much that saying goodbye was emotional. Ms. Julie welcomed us at reception, showed us to our room, and was there again on departure day, which made the stay feel personal. Thank you Julie ! Celebrating our engagement here was just right for my fiancée and me. Every staff member was friendly, polite, and eager to help, especially Tom from the ground transport team and Anh at Clay Craft restaurant. We ate at every restaurant on the resort, and each had its own menu, with food quality that was second to none. The room was incredibly comfortable and well equipped, and both the resort design and the staff’s attention to detail stood out. The pools, winding river, and spa exceeded our expectations. I couldn’t recommend this resort more.
