Le Vu Hotel

We’ve stayed at this good hotel several times. Although it’s in the centre, it stays quiet. The rooms are clean and cosy, and the staff are excellent and attentive.

The location was okay, though nothing special, and the room was basic, neither impressive nor disappointing. Service was attentive and helpful throughout my visit, which I appreciated. It’s convenient for a short stay and works well for travelers watching their spending. 😊

The location was good for walking places, but the alley outside smelled like wee. The room was very small, the bed uncomfortable, and there were random alarms, presumably fire alarms, at 9:30 am and 3 am. They only lasted a short while, but disrupted our sleep. We didn’t enjoy the stay. The aircon was very good, though. We had booked an extra night the night before because we were exhausted, and planned to pay at checkout. We went in and out of reception a couple of times that day, but at 11 pm they called our room and woke us to ask for payment. They also commented about keeping our passports until we paid, after we asked to pay in the morning at checkout.

We used three rooms as a family, and they were clean and affordable. Le Vu Hotel is made up of two small buildings in an alley in the Pham Ngu Loao neighborhood, where tiny hotels are common. I guess the sites were private houses that were renovated into commercial hotels. There are lots of restaurants, cafes, and street vendors nearby, so there’s no need to have breakfast at the hotel.
