The pool was the one part I enjoyed. Their cheapest room is 450k, and I was glad to get a swim in after a long time. But I’d rate most of the rest at 2 out of 5, maybe even 1. I got into the large bed in room 205 and soon felt tiny things crawling over me, from my feet up to my neck. I took the hottest shower I could, then switched to the other bed. Luckily, even the smallest room has two. Sorting it out took about an hour of sleep, from noticing the problem to showering and changing beds. Noise made the night worse. The soundproofing was poor enough that I could hear the next room’s TV clearly, and it stayed on until 11.30 p.m. I didn’t expect that in such an expensive hotel. Then the rubbish truck woke me at 5.20 a.m. The next room’s TV was already on, and from 6 a.m. people were having breakfast by the pool and talking loudly, so I couldn’t get back to sleep. The fridge wasn’t cold at all and I couldn’t find a way to adjust it. It only started cooling by morning. There was dust on the TV, shelves, wardrobe, the tops of the bed headboards, and the mirror. It seems wiping dust isn’t part of their cleaning. The wardrobe smelled bad inside, so I didn’t want to put my clothes in it. No one gave me the Wi-Fi password and I couldn’t find a sign with it, but another guest helped me out. There were a few useful things: the desk was convenient for using a laptop, with sockets placed well, two by the desk, two by the sheft, and another low on the wall. The bathroom had refillable soap, shower gel, and shampoo dispensers, which is good for reducing plastic pollution. The AC worked well, and there was a drinking water dispenser at reception.
