Wyndham Garden Cam Ranh Resort

The check-in and check-out process was what brought my rating down to three stars. Nobody explained the deposit at arrival, and there was no luggage help at all, which didn't feel like a five star resort. We left a deposit of one million VND, then at checkout they suddenly wanted the paper receipt, though no one had said we'd need it to get the money back. I was told to wait ten minutes, then had to go back to reception myself to ask whether they'd checked the room. There was no way to know when the process was finished, and the reception service overall didn't feel five star. The villa itself was very good for around 80 euros per night, which left me torn between three and four stars. It was spacious and comfortable, booked as a one bedroom villa but actually a three bedroom place with two rooms locked. It looked impressive and was in very good condition. The bed was comfortable, cleanliness was great, and I didn't see cockroaches in the room or around the pool. The resort was quiet and easy to relax in. Motorbike parking was convenient in the designated hotel area outside the villa, keeping engine noise away from the villas. Staff used quiet electric vehicles. One staff member also kindly noticed I'd left my charger behind and told me before I left. A few things fell short of what I'd expect at a five star resort. There was no safe or iron. The big kitchen barely had anything in it, just six glasses, six cups, and six small spoons. The washing machine was useful, but there was nowhere to hang clothes and no dryer. Housekeeping went into the bedroom even after I clearly said “No” several times, which felt intrusive. The spa was closed. The beach was dirty with lots of trash, the bathroom sink drained poorly, and the water pressure was too low.

The service really made our family stay special, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Wyndham Garden Cam Ranh was a great place for a big family trip, with everything easy to get around. Highly recommend it! ✨🌟👍😊

The children enjoyed the pool at the villa and playing football, since December was too windy for a swim in the sea. They also liked the friendly kids' club. The entertainment room had a pool table, traditional board games, and lots of games and books. We usually ate out, with many good seafood restaurants, clay-pot rice spots, and tasty street food around Cau Moi, about a 10-minute drive from Wyndham. We rented the clean, well located three-bedroom villa from a friend who owns it here. Housekeeping was excellent, and the place had a full kitchen, cooking utensils, and even basic seasonings. Would we come back? Yes.

The beach was a highlight for us, lovely and quieter than Nha Trang, and the airport is easy to reach. We liked having both a private pool and the big resort pool. Towels were free at first, but on one day we were suddenly charged 50k for one, with no explanation when we asked. The villa was spacious and inexpensive, though a little shabby, and what was supplied was only just acceptable. Breakfast had plenty of choice, but the food tasted very poor and nothing seemed fresh. The pastries, coffee, and juice felt especially cheap, and the meat dishes looked like they’d been sitting out for ages. There’s nowhere else within walking distance, so we had to take taxis into the city every day for a decent meal. That wasn’t cheap, but there was hardly anything nearby. Update: replying to the manager’s comment, I didn’t book through Airbnb. Maybe they mean a tiered standard among the villas, which I don’t know about. I also found the manager’s tone undermining instead of recognizing the review as fair, which added to my poor impressions of the stay.
