Amazon 1 Hostel

Tucked down a side alley in Can Tho, this is a really nice little hostel. The upstairs balcony area was lovely, and the staff were sweet and always around. My only complaint was the pack of dogs barking outside from 3 am, which wasn’t the hotel’s fault. Bring earplugs. Otherwise, I’d recommend it.

The rooms are a little small, but everything felt great since the hostel is brand new. I especially liked the cosy shared balcony, with its city views and relaxed feel. The staff were amazing and friendly, and really went out of their way to help us.

Reception were lovely, attentive, and helpful with all sorts of things. The hostel has tours, though I think they cost a bit more than options elsewhere. The extra ease might be worth it, but I booked with another place that included hotel pickups, so there are alternatives. I liked the mixed dorm and its good aircon. The bunk ladder placement was awkward, and little ants made it harder to sleep. It generally felt clean, though. The Wi-Fi was solid, and the location was good, not far from the main spots. All in all, a lovely little hostel.

The bathroom is down a short flight of stairs, which was the one downside. Otherwise, Amazon has very comfy twin dorm beds, and the wooden side panels give you extra privacy and block sound well. It’s in a great spot, with just about every service within walking distance.
