OYO 964 Minh Minh Nam Hotel

I stayed here three times as a solo business traveller needing to be close to my Vietnamese vendor: 14-28 Feb 2023, 14-31 May 2024, and 28 Jul - 10 Aug 2024. During the latest visit I had trouble walking, and hotel manager Ms Lieu looked after my well-being, meals, laundry, and transport. She even drove me to the nearest bank to exchange money and got me an office chair because I needed to work long hours in my room. The hotel is in a safe, quiet neighborhood with private terrace houses, within walking distance of eateries, cafes, a mini-mart, and a bank. The location works well, the rooms are soundproof, and there's an elevator on every floor. For a 2-star hotel, it's clean, safe, and peaceful, with excellent service at a very good budget price. It's the best place I've stayed during my two years of frequent work trips to Vietnam. Staff at both hotels I stayed at on that trip, Minh Minh Nam 2 Hotel from 23 Jul - 28 Jul 2024 and Minh Minh Nam Hotel from 28 Jul - 10 Aug 2024, were courteous and greeted me each day. They helped arrange meals, transport, and laundry. When a change in work meant I had to shorten my stay from 24 Aug to 10 Aug 2024, they were patient, didn't show any displeasure, and made sure I got my cash refund and a corrected hotel invoice. I was unwell and up against work deadlines, so those small, caring acts really impressed me. Thank you all for going the extra mile. We stayed three nights and were very comfortable at OYO 964 Minh Minh Nam Hotel. It's an affordable place, and the staff are very friendly. Our room had a balcony, a very clean and comfortable bed, a minibar, a refrigerator, and a large desk and chair for working. The shower took a while to warm up. It's a calm spot a little outside the center of Can Tho, with a direct route out to the countryside. You can rent bicycles for free and explore the neighborhood. There are lots of coffee places and spots for drinks nearby, though there are only a few restaurants, and in the afternoon they seem to serve drinks rather than food. The hotel was okay and affordable, with laundry service, and you can get ice cream there. Just be aware that they don't speak English. It seems to be a place where VN people usually stop by.

The balcony and its excellent view were my favorite things about the hotel. The bathroom could be improved with a glass door to give it a more elegant, luxurious feel. The bed and pillows were quite hard, so I didn't sleep very comfortably. Staff were helpful enough.
