The Lighthouse

The food was awesome, especially the perfectly cooked steaks and yummy pizzas. We were a group of five and they seated us easily. The staff were really friendly, and there was no wait, though maybe we just arrived at a good time. We had a nice quiet spot upstairs. Service was great from start to finish, and we finished outside with a nice Caramel & Banana Crepe.

The first-floor restaurant’s local dishes with a modern twist were delicious. I only had breakfast there, but the crepes are a must-try, with a rich buttery smell and smooth batter that seemed well rested. The place works nicely as a hotel, restaurant, and cafe. On my first visit to Can Tho, I found the hotel calm and relaxing despite being right in the tourist area. It’s only a five-minute walk to the floating market tours. My friend and I booked a twin and a single room separately, and they kindly put us in connecting rooms, probably because they were available. You could request this ahead, but it’s up to the hotel. There were almost no minor annoyances, and it felt more comfortable and peaceful than some big-name hotels. Highly recommended!

I came for a meal, not a hotel stay. We arrived pretty late, but the kitchen was still open. The pasta and steak were both fine. There’s a broad selection of western food for anyone who needs it.

We stayed in the upstairs rooms, though we didn’t eat at the restaurant. The room was almost like a suite, with a kitchenette, and it was the nicest one we stayed in during our time in Vietnam. It looked straight over a night market, but the noise wasn’t a problem. The location is fantastic. A hotel staff member even went out of their way to iron my dress for a wedding the next day. We had dinner to attend and little time to explore Can Tho, so that was amazing. I highly recommend staying here.
