Thuan Phat House Soc Trang

I was pleasantly surprised by my first stay at Thuan Phat House. The rooms were a good size and clean, with all the basic amenities, and the price was very reasonable. It’s in a great location, there’s plenty of car parking, and the staff were very helpful. I’ll be checking in here on future visits to Soc Trang. A great place.

The breakfast was good, and the service was good too, but the mosquitoes made the stay miserable. After spending the first night on the third floor in a room beside the lift, which was okay, we were moved to a ground-floor room with glass doors. There were about 30 mosquitoes waiting when I opened the room, and around 10 more in the cupboard. I spent the next three hours chasing and killing them. They were still a battle all night, even while showering and using the bathroom. Bring mosquito spray.

The room was excellent in size and clean. It was a great hotel, though we did have some little ants sharing the space with us.

There were lots of small, invasive ants in the room, though at least the bed was clean. We also had a very small window, and there was a lot of noise coming from reception at night. At 15 euro, I expected a bit better.
