Jeanne Hotel is in a great spot, right by all the restaurants, and the rooms are clean with everything you need. The manager was very helpful. I wanted an affordable ride to the waterfall or a tour without a crowd, and he arranged it. Then my bus to Ha Long left without me even though I got to the station early. He came to pick me up and sorted out another bus for the next day. Good price too. If you're in Cao Bang, this is the place to stay.

If you have a bicycle, don't come here. I arrived by bike and they literally threw me out the door. They wouldn't even offer a place to leave it, except in the street. Don't stay here, find somewhere more welcoming.

The host made the stay especially good by going out of his way to help. He even arranged my transport back to Hanoi for much less than the other options. The room and bathroom were clean and top quality, and this was the best hotel experience I've found in Vietnam. I'm very grateful for the great time in Cao Bang. I highly recommend it and would return if I'm ever back in the area.

What makes this place stand out is the host, who goes out of his way to help and explain things. He called to check when my bus would arrive, even though it was at 6:15am, and explained the lunar calendar when I was confused about the five day market cycles. The practical side is good too: very clean, an elevator, strong hot water pressure, moto parking, and a spot right in the middle of where the street gets closed off on Friday and Saturday nights. Highly recommended!
