Con Son Blue Sea

The beach is just across the street, and we stayed for 9 days without any problems. The hotel is very nice, clean, and has service-minded staff and a great breakfast. You can also play Pickleball and rent motorbikes at favorable rates through reception. They accept credit cards. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect. The hotel is clean and welcoming, and anh at reception is very kind.

I stayed four nights and wish I'd booked longer. The rooms were clean, the view was great, and breakfast was good and changed every day. I especially liked that the staff ate the same food they prepared for guests. It gave me extra confidence in the breakfast. My thanks to the owner and manager of this great hotel, and to the friendly, helpful staff.

We loved Con Dao overall. The island is beautiful, and the hotel didn't seem too bad when we first saw it. The room didn't smell too bad and looked more recently built. They offer airport pickup and drop-off. But the bathroom drains smelled terrible. I know it's a beach town and you get what you pay for, so I poured shampoo and mouthwash down them and left the vent running 24/7, hoping to block the smell. It didn't help. The drains were also very slow. We tried to shower on the first day and found the water wasn't draining, though when we came back later it had gone down. The front desk staff don't speak English. Google Translate helped, but even simple things like renting a bike, its price, and the pool's location and hours were hard to communicate. The rooms were noisy from other guests and doors from morning until night. We woke up every morning because of noise from other rooms. The doors also start sounding automatically if left open too long, so we didn't need an alarm. Breakfast was Vietnamese and okay in taste, but some dishes were saltier and others blander. There were flies everywhere, staff were smoking, and we had stomach issues later, so we only ate breakfast there on our first day. The pot in the room was very dirty, so we didn't use it. Checkout was the last problem. Leave an hour or two before you need to go. They said they hadn't received the money from booking.com even though we'd paid in full. We showed the receipt, but the staff member kept saying we had to pay, refused to photograph the receipt or contact booking.com, and insisted booking.com would refund us even though the receipt clearly said there was no refund. They also said this happens all the time and they always say the same thing.
