Con Son Island Hotel

The rooms are big, with floor-to-ceiling windows, nice bedding, and a good-sized bathroom and shower. I had a mountain and street view after moving to room 301. In room 101, the window couldn't open because of the awning support outside, people on the street could see in, the central light and fan had no controls, and the shower bracket was hanging by one screw. They said they were full when I asked for a higher room, but moved me the next day, which was fine. In 301 the light and fan remote was there, but the Wi-Fi was too weak for either my phone or the smart TV, so the TV was useless. I told staff, who went off to fiddle with the internet equipment, but it still didn't work. Luckily I had internet on my phone. The kettle and small cups were fine, though every coffee sachet was ten months past its expiry date. The hotel needs to get on top of these small problems.

A simple room, but perfectly adequate for the price, and the host was friendly and ready to help with anything. Con Dao is a lovely island for relaxing and enjoying nature, with several rare bird species for anyone who likes birds.

We felt comfortable and welcome from the start. Such a lovely team of people and a beautiful hotel, easily the best on the island for us. We just loved our time here, thank you!

It's a nice boutique hotel in a handy spot by the beach, close to local markets and other amenities. There's also a good cafe/bar right next door, great for hanging out with a group. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned regularly, and fresh towels were provided. I'd recommend it.
