Ana Mandara Villas Dalat Resort & Spa

The calm setting was a big part of our lovely three-night stay. The gardens were beautifully cared for, and the hotel sits among pine trees, with elegant villas spread across the grounds. We were in Villa 7, conveniently close to the pool, restaurant, and main entrance. It was peaceful throughout. We stayed in Suite 705 on a raised ground floor. The room was spacious and full of character, with antique touches and lovely wooden parquet. The bathroom was just as striking, especially the antique bathtub. Breakfast had plenty of high-quality choices, and the staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. Service was impeccable. We also tried the SPA. The facilities were beautiful and the whole experience was deeply relaxing, a wonderful addition to the stay. The market area is about a 20-minute walk away, so it was easy to explore while still staying somewhere quiet. The only change I'd suggest, just in my personal opinion, is a separate pool for children so adults can properly relax in their pool. We had a truly wonderful time and highly recommend the hotel. It was worth it and made for an unforgettable stay.

Breakfast was the best we've had in three weeks of travelling around Vietnam, and we really enjoyed the afternoon tea too. The resort grounds were immaculate. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and had gorgeous views. It was serviced every day, and each evening we came back to the lamps on, curtains drawn, and a little plate of cookies waiting. The welcome was so warm, with hot flannels and tea, and a buggy ride took us to our villa. The team had also been really helpful with communication before we arrived. We felt so well looked after the whole time and didn't want to leave. The reception team arranged a city tour and our airport transfer, and were so helpful. We had a refreshing swim and an incredible facial and massage at the spa. We felt 20 years younger afterward! Thanks to everyone who made Ana Mandara such a special place to stay. And a personal thank you to Thao Nguyen at the reception desk, who took such great care of us. She's a real asset to Ana Mandara Villas.

The hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown Da Lat and has charming buildings with equally lovely interiors. The staff were genuinely friendly, and I had a very relaxed stay. The restaurant's atmosphere was outstanding. The food was solid, though nothing exceptional. Privacy was a problem in my room because the shower and toilet had no doors. The television also kept switching itself on and off at random, so eventually I had to unplug it to get some peace. The hospitality still stood out. They kindly helped look for an item I'd forgotten and even arranged to ship it to my home.

I didn't stay there, though it was definitely on my shortlist. It was a little outside my budget, even if it seemed good value compared with Australia. Instead, I had a meal at their lovely restaurant, a beautiful place to wait out an afternoon storm. The food was excellent and cost about half what I'd typically pay in Australia.
