Everyone in the family running the homestay was positive, kind and helpful, and we really enjoyed being there with that lovely view. Our room had two large beds, and we were happy with it. The bathroom was spacious, with a bathtub you could comfortably soak in. There was also a roomy wardrobe that smelled a little damp at first. We left it open and it aired out quickly, which was understandable. The place was kept clean, with floors swept every day and leaves and bugs cleared from the pool. The pool water was clean when I swam, not cold but refreshing. We got the scooter the next day as planned. One small suggestion: it might be better to show guests the scooter options before bringing one to the homestay, though it worked out fine. The food was great, no complaints. We had a comfortable, trouble-free stay, and the staff were friendly. The river view is beautiful, with seating right outside in a quiet area. You can use the pool or swim in the river. I’d seen some bad pool reviews, but the water was clear and we enjoyed it. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, hot water, working AC, and a clean, working fridge and kettle. There’s a good breakfast selection, and everything we tried was tasty. Definitely recommend this place, thank you!

The family were so nice and accommodating, and the property was kept really clean. They were even regularly sweeping leaves around the pool. It’s a beautiful spot right by the river, and a bike ride gets you to plenty of good restaurants and the morning market. Breakfast was good too, we had omelets and noodles. A relaxing stay.

The pool was a real treat, and we enjoyed the lovely breakfast. Our room at restful river was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and helped us book tours and a motorbike. Just a heads-up, they prefer cash, so make sure you have enough before checkout.

It was off season and very quiet, and I think we were the only guests booked in. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the place was tidy and well kept. Our room was very spacious and quite modern. We loved the setting right on the river, and the food was fantastic. After a day out at Phong Nha National Park, first the botanical gardens and then Dark Cave, we felt right at home at the RRB. We had a wonderful stay.
