The schedule was packed with activities, and I found myself wishing the cruise were longer so there’d be a few leisure days too. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The crew were outstanding and went out of their way to pamper us, especially Jack, Tony, Sam and Ethan. Inside, the boat is stunning, full of dark wood. It may look modest from outside, but the rooms are spacious, the bathroom is huge, and the balcony is somewhere you’ll want to linger. Highly recommend this cruise line.

We were welcomed by the Lux Cruises team with green tea, big smiles, and such careful service that even the cabin key came with a bow. The boat was gorgeous, all polished wood and brass, and our balcony was big enough to make moving in sound tempting. Our suite had a four-poster bed, a huge tub facing the bay, and soft music. It felt wonderfully peaceful out on that jade-green water, far from Hanoi’s noise. Dinner was a real production: seabass, steak, oysters with melted cheese, and a birthday celebration for another guest, with glowing letters spelling “LOVE.” We clapped along. Before dinner we learned to make crispy bánh xèo pancakes. My first one fell apart, but the second came out well enough for applause. Later, dressed in traditional Vietnamese outfits and drinking white wine on deck, the whole thing felt surreal. The food was impressive throughout. Lunch brought grilled prawns, tender beef, rice, and fruit carved into shapes almost too pretty to eat. As we passed the limestone pillars, the air smelled of salt and sunlight and the world seemed to slow down. We kayaked and swam in warm, clear water. One of us glided easily between the rocks; the other focused on staying upright while pretending to steer. The water felt like warm, slightly salty soup, and we laughed until we could barely paddle straight. Back aboard, the rooftop pool’s gentle rocking made it a little wave machine, and cocktails appeared while laughter carried across the deck. The crew made everyone feel like family. A bath with a panoramic bay view was nearly perfect, except for a man in a passing boat selling beer at eye level. At night, dozens of boats lit up like floating lanterns beneath a golden sky. Under the stars and moonlit water, it was easy to imagine dragons carving the bay with their tails. Magic or geology, either way, unforgettable. The scenery, service, food, and quiet were breathtaking. Be warned, after sailing through Hạ Long Bay, other boat trips may be hard to enjoy.

The staff helped make our 4 day/3 night cruise especially memorable. My partner and I were celebrating our 24-year anniversary and 50th birthday, and they went above and beyond for both occasions. Special thanks to Chris, Ashley, Sam, James, Jay, Jack, Anthony, Ethan and the Chef, along with everyone working behind the scenes. On White Lotus on Ha Long Bay, we all came home. The boat is beautiful, built in 2019, and everything felt neat, tidy, and functional. Lovely art hangings gave it a great atmosphere. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable, with a great bathroom. The young staff were enthusiastic and professional, always checking that guests were looked after. There was lots of fresh, tasty food, plenty of variety, and a good wine selection. Daily activities were well organized and the outings were fun.

I had a fantastic two-night cruise with Heritage. The facilities and especially the friendly, thoughtful, accommodating staff made it memorable. Big thanks to Chris, Ashley, and Jay. The food could definitely be better.

I joined the Heritage Cruise from 5 to 7 August 2025 expecting a relaxing five-star boutique trip. Instead, when I got off the boat, my Louis Vuitton Keepall 55 was soaked inside and out. Water had worked deep into the leather and lining, and my Dyson hair dryer and GHD straightener inside were wet too. The bag still has permanent stains after careful cleaning, and its sentimental value can’t be replaced. I reported it right away. The Cruise Manager raised his voice and told me to “calm down.” There was no apology or empathy, just defensiveness, which ruined what should have been a peaceful cruise. Later, the Director of Sales emailed to call it “just humid,” which made things more disappointing instead of taking responsibility. Weeks later, after another hotel’s General Manager followed up for me, the company finally acknowledged the issue. This isn’t about money. For what a “luxury” cruise costs, I expected care, accountability, and to feel my belongings were safe. The company’s handling of the incident felt indifferent and disrespectful, leaving stress and silence in place of that. I hope future travelers understand that luxury means taking responsibility when something goes wrong. Photos attached show the soaked bag, Dyson and GHD items, and the stains after one month.
