CEREJA Hotel & Resort Da Lat

The lakeside setting outside Da Lat was magical if you're after nature, peace, and quiet. Our room was spacious and lovely, with a beautiful lake view and an amazing bed and pillows. The staff welcomed us well, though they didn't keep us well informed about what was available at the resort. There was also new construction of houses and resorts in the area. Some facilities need attention. We couldn't use the gym or spa, which had been promised when booking, though I don't know if they were still under construction. On our last night, guests above us made noise, and the bathroom sewage system started to smell. The lunch and dinner menu had the same limited selection, and sadly some listed items weren't available to order. With those things fixed, this could definitely be a 5/5. We stayed at Cereja for two nights and thought it was a nice resort.

Breakfast had plenty of options and was good, but the restaurant only had 3 meal choices, and there was no air conditioning. The bed was rock solid, so we didn't sleep well. When we complained, the staff just nodded and said okay. They said they'd send someone to look at it, but nobody came. At arrival, they couldn't find my booking.com reservation even though I'd paid and showed them the email. It took 15-20 mins to check us in.

The staff were really accommodating and friendly, and helped us arrange transport to the city and central market. The place has a nice vibe that brings you closer to nature. The food was average, but I can't complain. I enjoyed my stay overall.

The room was decent and clean, and the view was amazing. Service could use some work. Our room was 3 buildings from the main lobby, and we weren't sure whether a taxi could pick us up at the building. I'd told the front desk in advance that we were checking out early and asked for a buggy to take our luggage to the lobby. He acknowledged it, but when we left, no buggy was there and no front desk staff were available, just a non-English-speaking staff member near the lobby. He didn't understand when we tried to pay the room service charge, so we left the money with him, 30k for 2 bottles of water.
