Charlie Mansion Dalat

We stayed in two Deluxe family rooms with Balcony for seven people. There was plenty of room, the beds were big, and everything was really clean and smelled nice. The staff were friendly and helpful too. It was a great spot for a family break. Xuan Huong lake was about two minutes away by car or motorbike, and Dalat market took around five minutes. We all had a really good vacation and would come back next trip.

The staff were kind and let us check in early. Our room was clean and large, and the bathroom was clean too, though the hot water wasn't consistent. We were there in early August and didn't need air conditioning; a fan was provided. We paid extra for a balcony room, but it had no chairs and was tucked behind the hotel sign, so it didn't feel worth the extra cost. One safety concern: the marble steps outside get very slippery when wet, and there's no handrail. No slip tape would help.

The location worked perfectly for us, with Hồ Xuân Hương only a five minute walk away. The hotel is on a quiet, charming street across from a primary school. In the morning, schoolchildren and dogs run along the street, but it never gets noisy. Inside, the classical architecture and furniture look lovely. Our room was spacious and clean, and the modern bathroom was spotless, with a great shower. We loved staying here.

We were very happy with the hospitality, even though, as Muslims, we couldn't have breakfast there. The bell guy was cheerful, energetic, and helpful. He didn't know basic English, but still made sure our belongings were sorted in the car and that everyone in our family got in safely. I'd put this place on my list if I return to Da Lat. We'd booked two nights and told the property through Booking.com that we'd arrive for check-in at 4 AM the next day. They replied quickly. When we got there, the lobby was dark and the lights had been switched off, so I had to walk through in the dark. The sleepy staff member quickly woke up from underneath the reception table. Check-in itself was very fast, and the staff showed us to the lift and gave directions to our room. For safety, I hope they can keep at least a little light on for late arrivals. I hope the property gives staff more training, including how to greet foreign guests in English and some basic English phrases. I believe many foreigners visit Da Lat.
