Dalat Joy Hotel

The noise was the worst part. You can hear everything happening outside, and it was extremely loud. Don't stay here if you want a good night's sleep. The rooms weren't properly cleaned, with dirt all over the walls and sheets that didn't seem fresh. The bathroom bidet was broken for 3 days, even after we told the staff. We had to cover it with a cup to stop water spraying around the bathroom. The room also wasn't as advertised: it had no windows, just a tiny rectangular opening in one corner.

Our other hotel cancelled, so we booked this one and paid for 3 days upfront. As soon as we entered the upstairs room, there was a strong mildew and mold smell that flared my allergies. At the front desk we asked for a refund, but the receptionist insisted on charging a cancellation fee. Check the rooms before booking. Ngoc Sang Hotel next door opened 6 months ago, and its rooms are bigger and cheaper. Do NOT recommend X-X

The roof HVAC was faulty and made it hard to sleep. I complained at 2:30am, but they wouldn't move me to a quieter room. We rented a different room that was a little quieter, but still noisy enough to keep us awake. There was no warm water in the sink, and mattresses were left piled in the hallways. We rented motorcycles through the hotel. The bikes were terrible, like they belonged in a scrapyard, and we were charged 50% over the going rate. At checkout they charged us more in when than they had quoted earlier. Tip: get the price in writing at this hotel, and don't rent motorbikes from them.

We checked in at 5 a.m. after being told the charge would be half price, then left at 10 a.m. and were charged the full amount. The bed was very dirty, and we woke up with bug bites. They also misplaced our ID card and driver’s license. We’re tourists, and we left unhappy. We won’t come back.
