I had to pay 300k dong at checkout for using the second bed in our twin room. When my partner and I checked in, the receptionist had given us the room with two big beds and said nothing about only using one. At checkout, a rude woman demanded the extra payment, saying the maid would have to make up the other bed. That sounds ridiculous after paying for the room, and it raises a clear hygiene question: if we hadn’t used it, would it not have been cleaned? We had a bus to catch, so I paid. This was one of the strangest things I’ve heard from a hotel. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this dump.
